Brand introduction: Kate Louise Powell, born in 1995, is a post-90s illustrator who is good at pencil drawing of surrealism and abstract female portraits. He has obtained excellent results in the basic diploma of art and design from Leeds Art Institute, and obtained a first-class honorary degree after studying illustration from Edinburgh Art Institute. In the last year of high school and during her study at Leeds Art Institute, Kate created many personal and emotional portraits, and finally found her position by focusing on animal rights activism art while studying for a bachelor’s degree in illustrated literature at Edinburgh University. Since 2012, Kate has created a large number of popular illustrations with the theme of flowers and butterflies. She tried photography, mixed media and painting, but most of her works still used pencils/colored pencils and black ink. Butterfly Effect is a work created by Kate on a whim in 2012. It has no real deeper meaning, but it has just begun to explore the idea of blending nature and portrait. It has become Kate’s most popular and infringed work.
